Well made top part of shoe, wonder about sole
I love Mephistos in general. I think they are the best shoes out there. I wanted this particular shoe (in lilac) to work but I had to return it because the heel was too flat for me at about 1/2 inch. This shoe was so close to being perfect, if only the heel was .25 inch higher... The leather upper is nicely made and fully adjusts to the foot with velcro. The back strap at the heel is even lightly and nicely padded. I bet it prevents blisters at the heel. The metal adornment is pretty. The shoe has good arch support. What I do wonder about is if the sole would wear out quickly with lots of walking. It is much thinner and lighter than the soles of my Helen and Balika pairs. I would be interested in other reviews.
